I am glad to see that you have enjoyed your holiday week! I am also glad to see that you are back with Kirsten from Doodle Mom, DaLynn from Biblical Womanhood, and myself for another week of Blogging Through the Alphabet. We have made it all the way to the Letter K this week! I am excited to share my K book with you.
This week I want to share a book with you that I plan to use with my kids for this new year. I want my kids to focus on Kindness this year. This is becoming a big thing as I see them growing up in a world that is glued to devices and instant personal gratification. I want them to grow up with the personal gratification of doing something physical for someone else’s benefit and happiness.
There are many great picture books that talk about this topic, but I was gifted one that takes the talking and puts it into action, Do Nice. Be Kind. Spread Happy. by Bernadette Russell is a book available through Usborne Books and More. This book is so full of great ways to be kind!
This 96-page paperback book is full of color pages each of which lists a different act of kindness for your child(ren) to do throughout the year. These acts of kindness range from collecting jackets for a coat drive with a message in the pocket to writing a kindness message in the sand at a local beach. Many of these acts can be done for free and will spread happiness to many unsuspecting people.
Are you looking for a way to help your child(ren) learn about giving others happiness? How to spread kindness? Look no further than this book to give you a great way to get started!
