Ahh…I missed a few days in the 31 Days Writing Challenge! I spent those days busy with family, or sleeping off the start of a cold. I am glad that I was able to do that and not get a real cold out of the deal! So today I am back at it, I will hopefully jump back to the missed ones and get them written up before the month is over!
Today the word is plan…
I try to plan our homeschool days out. I love to have an idea of what we will be coming up on with school, what I need to prepare for and what I need to gather. Having a plan allows me to be a better homeschool mom. It gives me the confidence to make sure they are getting the best that I can give them. All with one simple plan.
How do I plan our homeschool days? There are many ways. I love to write things down. Have them available right in front of me, so that when I get busy I can focus on that and get back on track quickly.
To make the plan, you can grab a simple piece of paper and write down the daily/weekly schedule. This is the simplest, and cheapest way to do that. There are paper planners that you can buy, we love the one from Apologia. You can also find a digital one and print it up when you have it done for the week. I have been using LessonTrek for Ray Ray and we love it. We also love to use the planners from SchoolhouseTeachers.com. These are just like the paper ones, but can be filled in on the computer and printed.
A plan is one thing I make sure to have every day before I start my homeschool day. It is my lifesaver!
