Finding a good family video can sometimes be hard. Even the cartoons that are available can have some crude jokes that I just don’t want my kids to watch. I was thrilled at the chance to watch Princess Cut from Watchman Pictures without the worry that my kids might see something I would rather they didn’t see.
We received the physical DVD for this review. The runtime of Princess Cut is approximately 97 minutes.
Grace is a Carolina farm girl who is looking for love, marriage, and a princess cut diamond. All young girls have a dream of their perfect wedding and guy, but we must be careful where the focus is put during these times. For Grace, she was so set on Mr. Right that she kept picking Mr. Wrong.
After finding out that her long distance relationship has come to an end, Grace is upset and doesn’t know what to do. She ends up meeting Jared at the coffee shop. She seems to be ignoring him, but he is making all the right comments, and he makes you like him. Could this be Mr. Right?
Before we are able to find out any more about Jared, Grace and her family go to welcome a new neighbor. This happens to be a young man who is a doctor. While her entire family seems to like him, Grace doesn’t give him the time of day, at first.
So, now we have two possible guys for Grace, what will she do? Who will she choose? And will her family approve?
I really enjoyed watching this movie. Some things stood out to me that made me realize it wasn’t a big-time Hollywood movie, but it was thoroughly enjoyable. I have to say, my favorite part of the movie has nothing to do with the actual plot of the movie. I loved when Grace’s little brother tried to be funny and put an ad in the local paper looking for a man for his sister. He describes her as pretty and makes the best macaroni and cheese. The guys that show up at the door had me laughing!
If you are looking for a good movie that anyone in your house can watch, Princess Cut is the one you are looking for. I could see some of the boys being bored by the romance, but this is great for the girls. This is a romance movie with morals and values.
