I am skipping between what I missed last week, while trying to get on track this week with the Write 31 Days in October challenge. I have been doing good! I think I only missed a day or two of actual posting, but keeping up with the word prompts from Five Minute Fridays is something different. That is what I am catching up on!
Today, October 15, the word of the day is remain…
“Happy are those who remain faithful under trials, because when they succeed in passing such a test, they will receive as their reward the life which God has promised to those who love him.” James 1:12.
This verse quotes my life. No matter what is happening to me, I must remain faithful to God and all that He has planned for me. I do not know his plans, but I do know that he would not bring me to it, if He would not help me through it.
I look forward to the life that He has planned for me. I feel that right now we are in one of those trials and I know that I will remain in Him through this time. No matter what happens, I remind myself, that He is here with me. I remind my children that He is here with them. We are not alone during this trial, we have Him!
Remembering to remain in Him is hard, but in doing so, it allows us to continue forward. We know that He is here for us. He would not leave us, and He wants to learn and grow from what He is teaching us. Sometimes during the hardest times in our lives, remaining in Him brings us something so great, we could never imagine it!
What is your favorite Bible verse that helps you to remain in Him, no matter what?
