Here I am, another day late, but still working on keeping up. Today the word to write to is Trust…
“Trust in the LORD with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding.” Proverbs 3:5. This verse has been a staple for me. I have always loved it, but this past year it has meant so much more to me!
Trusting in God seems simple. Especially when things are going good. You know that He has it all planned out, and when it is good you have no worries about trusting Him.
This last year has been a hard one. We have faced many challenges. Some I have shared with you, others we have dealt with as a family. During these hard times it can be hard to trust in God. It can be hard to trust that what you are going through is part of a bigger plan. But it is!
Trust is not just for the good. Trust is also for the bad. We have to go through hard times to grow and become closer to God. He wants us to call for His help. He wants us to trust in him. He will never put us in a situation that He could not help us with. This is where the ultimate trust comes from.
We don’t see the big picture of our life. We only see what is currently happening and what has happened. We don’t know what will happen, yet He does. He knows that every little thing that we go through, good and bad, will need to happen to bring us to Him. To make our life what he wants it to be.
Jeremiah 29:11 tells us, “For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.” He promises this to us, we just need to TRUST Him!
