Hey mom! Yeah, you. The one who feels like she is alone in this journey. The one who doesn't think any of those other moms know what she is going through. Do I have your attention? Good!
You are not alone mom. You have a whole band of us that feel the same way. That are going through the same things. We need to get together and hold each other up. Keep each other strong. Jill Savage has written a great book to help us with that! You need to grab your own copy of Better Together Because You're Not Meant to Mom Alone.
Better Together explores the notion that women are not designed to mother alone. We are designed to mother in relationship with other women who understand what a mom's life is like. We're also designed to mother in relationship with the God who created us. This book encourages every mother to find her mothering community, a place where she can both give and receive support in the many forms moms need. Beyond encouraging moms to be in community, Better Together teaches how to build a tribe and what to do together once you have one, such as learn together, help together, care together, share together, pray together, forgive together, and encourage together.
I was blessed to be able to review this book. As a homeschool mom of four kids, there are lots of things I feel like I am alone in. Being a mom shouldn't be one of them and this book has helped me to understand this. I have enjoyed reading what Jill has to say and following her tips on how to build and strengthen my friendships with other mothers.

In Better Together, Jill gives us the benefits of friendship first. We are shown how important the friendship is in our lives. These benefits remind us that working and fighting for a friendship is important. After this, we move forward into the actual building of friendships. She ends each chapter with friendship assignments. These fun assignments are our building blocks. These simple assignments are very thoughtful and easy to do. Anyone can do them, even a busy mom!
I went into the books wondering how much I really needed these friendships. I knew it was nice, but to see and read about how much they are needed, made me slow down for a moment. Doing each of the assignments at the end of the chapters slowed me down even more. They helped me to be a better friend, and in return, receive better friendships.
Moms, if you feel like you are alone, please know that you are not. You have a support system waiting for you. All you need to do is ask. This is the hardest step, but with Better Together you can do it! Head on over and grab your own copy, you can thank me later!
