What is "Five Minute Friday"? It is a simple word, phrase, or topic that is posted for you write about for five minutes with no major editing allowed. I see this as an opportunity to let my guard down and write. The word this week is:
So here I go:
Crowd, to me means a lot. A crowd of people at the store that we just got back from. A crowd of people who will be at the fish fry where we will be going to soon. A crowd of little kids running around the house, although it is only three 🙂 A noisy crowd with a lot of activity happening. A crowd of toys that always seems to end up where I want to walk. How about a crowd of papers that are waiting for me to go through after a week of homeschool.
But than I think of the crowd of people who always followed Jesus. That crowd who was there to see him alive, to see him preach. To listen to the quiet of the crowd. I would love to have been a part of that crowd. To have my three children be part of that crowd. The crowd of people who watched Him carry the cross for us. I want to think I would have been the one to step out of the crowd to help him. The crowd that was there when he rose from the dead and opened heaven up for us.
I don't like crowds, but I would give anything to be in the crowd with Jesus.
Stop (5 minutes up).
